Mark Jennings-Bates

With a background in adventure sports, including rock climbing, mountaineering and paragliding, Mark has always had a goal of doing something significant, and finally his day is coming. Entering the Dakar Rally in 2011 as a driver for the Bowler Offroad Team is a dream come true for him.

In his spare time, Mark participates as a rally driver in the Western Canadian Rally Championship throughout Alberta and BC. Mark's belief is that competing at a high level in any sport keeps his competitive senses tuned and encourages him to keep learning how to make the right decision in high pressure environments.

Professionally Mark has been involved in real estate sales and marketing for the past twenty years. He has consulted to some of the worlds leading resort developers and launched successful real estate programs in Western Canada and overseas. He has been with Coldwell Banker Horizon Realty in Kelowna for the last 4 years, and in 2009 was awarded Canadian Ambassador of the year by Coldwell Banker Canada for his charity work in Africa.

Jackie Jennings-Bates

Jackie graduated from the Scottish Hotel School with a degree in Hotel and Catering management, which she quickly put to good use opening a vegetarian bistro and creating a healthy following of epicureans.

The Canadian Rockies soon beckoned however, and Jackie was fortunate enough to be able to make time to raise their two young boys amongst the splendid mountain scenery of Canmore. Easing back into the work force Jackie worked as the Event Coordinator for the local Chamber of Commerce, which involved organising tasks as varied as gala dinners, golf tournaments and political forums.

In 2002 the family moved to the Okanagan, to enjoy the beautiful lifestyle available here. Jackie could see the potential of Mark’s real estate business and quickly agreed to provide support with the administrative aspect of the business.

However Jackie’s passion is to help people, especially those less fortunate and her dream has been to be able to travel overseas and participate in development projects. She was fortunate enough to visit the FeViva orphanage in Guatemala in 2008 and now she is working hard with Mark to realize the dream of Rally4Life.
